Overcoming Obstacles to Variable Retention in Forest Management

FORREX, the BC-based Forest Research Extension Partnership, together with the Forest Investment Account–Forest Science Program and the Sustainable Forest Management Network, coordinated a workshop on the challenges of implementing variable retention management. The workshop focussed on issues around variable retention and the impacts on stewardship objectives as well as managers’ ability to achieve present and future objectives.
